BLC developed a suite of digital learning resources for HoW College's AI Innovation Hub — a project funded by Innovate UK and the Department for Education's Local Skills and Improvement Fund. The hub bridges the gap between AI technology and practical application for small businesses in the region, supported by Skills West Midlands and Warwickshire as part of the Local Skills and Improvement Plan.

The BLC developed an immersive virtual reality learning experience designed for Higher Education Health and Care students. The project focused on childhood trauma and early years development, using 360° video and VR technology to place learners within realistic scenarios.
Working with teaching staff and students, the team created a narrative-led experience using professional actors to explore the long-term impact of early childhood experiences. The project aimed to build empathy and deepen understanding through immersive learning, supported by ongoing feedback, usability testing, and accessibility considerations.
The BLC partnered with CIISec to design and deliver a multi-phase digital learning programme supporting national cyber education priorities. The project combined interactive eLearning modules, video production, and bespoke Moodle platform development to support Cyber EPQ delivery and cohort-based learning.
The work included new course creation, content enhancement, and platform innovation, alongside ongoing development aligned to emerging cyber skills. This end-to-end delivery model ensured scalable, accessible learning solutions that can evolve alongside the needs of the cyber sector.
The BLC worked with Network Rail to design and develop a specialist digital training solution focused on telecommunications security. The project followed a structured instructional design model, including a full Learning Needs Analysis and detailed design phase to ensure the solution met complex technical requirements.
The final delivery incorporated interactive learning content and multimedia elements, designed to support workforce training in a highly specialised environment. The project demonstrated BLC’s ability to translate technical subject matter into engaging, accessible digital learning experiences.
The BLC delivered a large-scale bilingual adaptation of digital learning resources, translating full courses into Welsh while maintaining accessibility, structure and instructional integrity for the Welsh Government and Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol. The project included translating slide content, graphics and supporting materials, alongside adapting layouts and interactions to suit language differences.
A structured workflow was developed to export, translate and re-import content into Storyline, enabling the creation of dual-language sessions within a single package. This approach ensured consistency across English and Welsh versions while supporting inclusive and accessible learning for a wider audience.
The BLC developed a dedicated set of British Sign Language (BSL) resources as part of its commitment to inclusive learning and SEND provision across further education. The focus was on creating accessible, curriculum-aligned content to support communication skills and raise awareness of inclusive practice within colleges.
The project resulted in a structured programme of sessions supported by an extensive library of video demonstrations, enabling learners to develop confidence in core BSL vocabulary across a range of everyday and vocational contexts. Designed for easy integration into existing digital platforms, these resources provide colleges with a practical way to embed inclusive communication and enhance the learning experience for all students.
The BLC contributed to a national collaboration project to develop a large-scale bank of high-quality digital learning resources for the FE sector. Working with partner colleges, the focus was on creating accessible, curriculum-aligned content to support blended and online learning delivery.
The project resulted in a comprehensive collection of vocational resources, freely available and designed for easy integration into VLEs such as Moodle. This work supported rapid digital transformation across the sector and continues to provide value for teaching and learning.
